Straight Through Cats Any Good????

I just got a set of full length Pace Setter headers for my 00 GMC 5.3 and before I install them I was wondering if I put a set of straight through Magna Flow cats on will it set off my engine light.

Your stock cats flow pretty dang good, I dont think you would hear or feel a difference if you swapped those cats. I dont think it would set of your 02 sensors but it would be different with those headers. I gutted my cats in my tahoe and it through the check engine light so I just through on some 02 sensor simulators on the back sensors.

02 sensor simulators??? Did they work and where can i get them? I've been tryin some way to trip the 02 sensors behind the cats for quite some time.

just get on google and type in 02 simulators and im sure you will find them They just send the same signal an o2 sensor would send with normal exhaust, they worked great for me. Some people have to run them with just headers from what i have heard.I had the ones that plug right into connection, pretty easy.

I've run aftermarket full flow cats before with good results. Noise level increases a bit.
