I have a strange problem with the power door locks on my 89 K-5.
For some reason the doors will not unlock unless you press the outside door button first, then unlock it. :haha:If you do not press the outside door button first, they will not unlock.:eek1:

I've never seen anything like this before, just wondering if any of you have or know a solution to it.

Thanks,

My manual door lock does the same thing now and then,Don't happen that much but I think it might be something in the latch it self worn out or real dirty and needs a good cleaning and re lube.

Yep anti theft, o have similar deal, if you try to open the door before unlocking it wont unlock, its the spring inside the handle that gets stuck i have to hit a couple of times to get it loose

My locks did the same thing. Took the door pannel off, sprayed the latch, handle, and the linkage with some graphite. The problem with both my doors was in the handle, not in the latch. Works so much better now.

yeah, mine did it cause the button was releasing all the way and that caused it to not allow the key to turn. just spray some wd in there
