I just got done replacing the master cylinder on my '83 K20 then power bleed the system. I started with a bench bleed on the master, used new fluid and I was also bleeding the rear disc brakes for the first time (brand new calipers too). Now my brake pedal is spongy for the first part of the travel then gets hard fast about halfway down. I don't think I could trust driving on the street yet.

This is the first time using this style of power bleeder so I'm not sure if this is a side effect of something going wrong or not. This is the bleeder.

The brakes do work so I'm going to take a trip around the block carefully while there is no traffic and see how it does.

After driving it I'm thinking I may not have got all the air out. Gonna have to go around one more time and see if I can improve on this.

Took my dad some time to get all the air out of his after putting disks on, FWIW. I just gravity bleed until it starts running out, then start pressure bleeding it.
