Streching Winch Cable

Hey guys I need to strech my winch able before the snow flies yet. Ive got a Tabor 12K winch.

I was going to do it in our shop here at work since the weather has been crap lately. I was wondering we have an 11,000 lbs Forklift. If I used it to drag should I put the parking break on a little bit or just let it roll free?

Why not pull one of the Floaters? For maximum stretch.

our shops is really small and the forklift would fit through the one door that would allow my to spool the cable all the way out...hell im pretty sure the K5 would get pulled toward the floater.

With the winch on my trailer, I pulled the DD on six times with the parking brake on slightly. No frayed wire yet and it's a smittybuilt cheapy.
