From wheeling a couple weekends ago, I actually broke my center pin on my passenger front leaf spring in this photo.

Another view of the same spot. Had alot of time to take pics took a while to get someone behind to pull my axle back in a spot where i could reconnect the driveshaft and get out of this spot

The Avatar is his Blazer. this is a 87? K10.

So how did the fix work out, Did you have a spare center pin, or a bolt?

My Avatar is a 73 blazer, most of the drivetrain made its way under this truck. We wheel our trucks hard out here, the body of said trucks suffer much. I have only been through 2 but my good friend has been through 3. We just keep moving the drivetrains :D Hence the current amount of tube on my truck and for that matter my buddys

I still have another blazer that I want to build a very sane very boring build (like sane and boring like Rene has plans to do:waytogo:)

What rig are you bringing up to AK for the Eureka run??

Currently gathering parts for a rig. Mike said I could use one of his this year, so now I am just trying to save money, with a possible knee and finger surgery ahead.................................well lets just wait and see

Looks great...

Are you gonna cut more out of the skins??? Looks like you're getting into them with the tires...

I've trashed several spring pins... Mostly the driver front...

I really need to bumpstop the front and I will probably just bumpstop the rear too. My shocks are maxed out there and some bumpstops will help me out in the dunes

Besides that when you flex that much with leaf springs they tend to not last very long:D I am going to work on a couple hybrid packs for the front and rear that will not let the leaves go seperate as much as they did

Of course, you had help coming, so you could wait.
But had you not had any coming, it looks like all the wheels except for the broken one are up on something.
Just from the pictures, it looks like if you had hooked the winch up to something and pulled forward, the passenger side axle might have slid back.

Especially if you had worked the brakes while pulling to keep that wheel from rolling.

Nothing really to hook up too, those rocks you see move really easy. Was no big deal to wait some, there was another guy attempting another obstacle behind me, he was having a hard time so I went to watch.
