striker repair

i know step one is to re-align the door

how do i go about fixing the cracking? just weld it up or should i weld in reienforcement? anybody have pictures of a fixed one?

LMC has the strikers for $10 bucks a piece, is there anywhere else that has them at a better price?

I've seen new strikers at advance for $7-$8. To fix the cracking I think you should stop drill the cracks and weld em up. I personally would add some reenforcement.
