Stripped TC/trans adapter bolt fix

My 84 (700r4/208 TC) has one or more adapter to trans bolt holes stripped,can these be sucessfully helicoiled or is there something better?

Most people think those bolts are 3/8-16 but they are 10mm x 1.25 and is usually why people have troubles is because they use the wrong bolts in this location. Yes you can heli coil them and even better is a time-cert if you can find them locally or have time to order the kit from Thread Kit Company.

I wont name names but around here it seems finding somebody who can screw on a new gas cap is a blessing let alone rebuild a trans and install it with the correct hardware. Ive found about 50% of the bell housing,adapter and support rod to bell housing bolts stripped now. As you mentioned there all now non metric bolts. Guess its time to pull things apart before it come apart in two:doah:
