Strong enough???

To be blunt, you should have just contacted Kert at DIY4X and be done with it.

Not too thrilled about spending $165 on something that I dont really need

I still don't like that idea.I look at it this way. If you have to ask CK5 if it is strong enough, than it is not.
How about a 3/16 plate running down the outside of the frame and form it all the way down to the bottom of the bracket. Then weld that to it and redrill hole.

This is a good an idea. I can make a triangle plate and weld it to the frame inside of the frame and to the bracket. I was thinking to even have a small square plate for the front of the bracket. That way it would be a tiny half box. Should def be strong enough. I dont want to weld a plate to the outside of the frame because my bumper caps it and just barely fits over the frame.

And I ask CK5 if its strong enough because I have no idea. I am very good at wrenching but this is my first hardcore build so I dont have the experience or expertise as all of you who have been wheeling for years. I do appreciate all the help and ideas. Thanks :D
