Strut compressor, what to buy?

We need at new one. Ours is a pneumatic branick. We were looking at the OTC strut tamer HD extreme, but what else is out there? Our Snap-on dealer is going to show us what he can get. Does anyone have any preference?

What do those cost? Just curious.

Thats what a shop used to compress my struts when i did our 07 tahoe.

Now own the kragen kit...but really, afraid to use it.

dont know old boss got one used from auction for 300-400 i think. new have not a clue.

Our snapon dealer can get the Branick that you showed. He said that's the only one he ever sees in shops. A new one is like $850

We use a Branick in our shop. It's a little old and worn out but it still gets the job done safely and quickly. Ours is mounted to the side of one of the hoists. It is nice that you don't have to move it around when you need it.

I absolutely HATE using the threaded rod style compressors. Never had one let loose on me but they just don't even look safe.
