So long story short, got my blazer stuck in the middle of Kane Creek. Is anyone in the Moab area with a winch and a big truck?

Can't help either, but somebody around should be able to pull you out.

Must have rained, I have been through that trail a few times and never saw more than 6" of water in Kane Creek.

It was more like quicksand. After hiking out the rest of the trail I would call it impassible. There were a lot of places later on where it didn't exist. I don't think anyone's driven it in a long time.

Did you get out?

Were you on the trail? I ran it last spring with 4 other rigs and we saw 2 other groups in there.

Here is a picture higher on the trail.

mine's in the shop, would love to help. you could try a post on craigslist

I don't really know if I was on the trail. I think so. It got really hard to tell. We couldn't even find the trail on foot walking out. It looked like it had been really torn up by flooding at some point and no one had been down.

Still there. Talked to a recovery guy, he is going to give me a call back later if he can organize a crew to go down. He has a jeep and it's goig to take something a lot bigger to get me out. I'm in to the frame rails.

Wish I was closer or had a running rig and some money right now.

Little weekend trip to Moab to help a guy out would be so much fun.

Unfortunately I have neither the money or a running rig right now.

Let us know tonight if you aren't out.

This is what I would NOT do, unless you dont give out specs, last thing you want to do is say "My truck is stuck on this trail, come pick me up at home and help me get unstuck", not only will someone not answer you, they will probably gut your truck. If you leave it vague , I guess that could work.

Good luck OP

Yea, not posting to Craigslist. No one is stripping my truck out there. Yesterday the ground was around 135 degrees in the sun. My truck sank in liquified sand up to the frame. I'm not too worried about it or any of the parts going anywhere.

Bumber. Wish I could help. Mine still won't turn when I want it too. When we ran it 3 years ago, it was obvious where the trail was. And on the easy side.

Yea I talked to the guy at the information center and he saw my truck and said I would have no problem. Even if I got through all the muck there were a series of 2-3 foot ledges up a real steep incline at the end. I was told it was a 3-4 hour trail and it took 3 hours to where I got stuck part way in.

They 160$ an hour to get it out!

Guy said nobody runs or should run that trail this time of year. ****

just ask someone in town, i'm sure someone would do it for some $. n take a shovel. i drove a stock jeep cherokee up that trail some years ago. i like it when the trails get washed out because it make them harder. http://www.traildamage.com/

$hit that sucks dude :doah: somebody on here has to know somebody near by

Haven't seen anyone in town. Guy said it'd take at least 8 hours so if you do math...

According to that report it's a perfect trail for 33" tires
