Was reading the artical in diesel power and thye put one in stating it would help the low end weekness, since i am running a torbo on my yet to be installed 6.2 and need to fix the rear main seal anyways i figgered i should do it.

any opinions?

There is a Canadian company that specializes in 6.2/6.5 engine parts. A couple that I will use one day (when i do a rebuild) are the Gear drive kit and the stud girdle kit.

lemme see if I can find a link for ya...

lol was just looking at them, Rene closed it to see if anyone responded funny.

thanks.

guys think it is really ressasary?

Sure can't hurt any, and 6.2's are known to crack down there. For 180 bones I wouldn't hesitate...hell, I just did my rear main seal and if I had known the stud girdle was that inexpensive I would have done it then. For some reason I remembered it as being in the $400 range (and never looked it up to find out for sure) I must have had the pricing mixed up with the Gear drive kit. :doah:

No the crank itself will break when the harmonic balancer goes.
The block was another issue, but I heard it was certain years, which ones though I can't remember.

Actually one thing I know, 82, the first year is one of the best for the blocks, but the heads have the coarse thread injectors, not desirable.
