hey im new to this site...so uhh hi to everyone...i got a problem, my truck is hard to start, once its running it seems fine in park, i can go from idol to floored as fast as i want with no bog or hesitation, but once its in drive, it bogs down and studders, i can keep a consistant rpm above idol without it spitting, studdering and stalling, but as soon as its back in park, runs like a dream...any suggestions? thanks

its a 89 silverado k5 and it has no tac. so im guessing the rpms are around 600, it sounds perfect, just like any other k5....thats whats bugging me :doah:

Bad Idle

Assuming it's carbureted, do you have the vaccuum advance connected to manifold or ported vaccuum cource? Check you base timing with the vaccuum advance disconnected and see. Also the mecahanical advance weights in you distributor could be stuck as well.
