I think a lot of people are thinking “parking violation” such as parking in a handicap spot or in spaces reserved for pregnant/expecting mothers. My freshman year of school (University of Missouri-Columbia), my roommate drove a nice Ford 1 ton 4wd dually flatbed. He legally parked in a drive up spot for unloading while he was unloading his belongings. He pulled up against the curb (which was really just an incline and not really a curb in the since of the word. Wheelchairs could go up and down them with little effort), but since his dual rear wheeled rearend was so wide, one of the tires was sticking out of the painted parking space. He was ticketed for that which I believe was unreasonable. Here’s the kicker. Two weeks later, he parked in a similar spot, only he pulled his inside wheel up on the curb so that his outside wheel was inside the painted spot. He was ticketed for parking on the sidewalk! I really don't think this makes him a criminal. In the end, he eventually had to pay the fines and he graduated and is doing well.

i paid, you paid, everybody else who is able to post in the lounge had to pay to post there. just because she's female she gets special priviledges? if it were a guy posting the same stuff, you'd definitely see it different.

Haha, his car is actually dark green. I photoshopped the car to burnt orange and put the logo on there (learned to do it in a web design class back in high school). No I'm not in LHOR; up until October I drove a Porsche 944S and had no interest in offroading or big trucks. The K5 I purchased was a steal from a SMU law school graduate...I'm now letting a buddy of mine drag me into offroading (right now its just getting the truck ready to do so). I'm a pretty busy senior to be active in other things outside of school and work (I juggle 2 jobs with my class schedule).

i was umpd 1975-`76 before I came to california and LASD

the drunk football players would park anywhere they liked... so we would wait until 2 am and come towing their cars away as they ran down the stairs from the hi rise,,, it was great fun... 270 lbs of muscle asking meekly for thir car back... we also got quite a few fire extinguishers thrown at us from 10 stories up... makes a nice dent in the radiocar..

thing is I had to walk like every other student and if I got ticketed because I did something stupid I had to pay it like everyone else,,,, so I road my bike or walked
and U of M is a city with 50,000 people

I agree it is in the wrong spot she was stupid blah blah blah. There are mods on here for a reason and I am sure they will move it soon. If not I am sure The Boss has seen it (he sees all ya know) .

Secondly, this is the garage, not the center of gravity forum. Over half of the stuff posted here is at least borderline off topic anyways. Perhaps if you guys would cut the newbie some slack she might pay up like you did and then she would post in the correct forums...

A little friendly CK5 tolerance would probably go a long way, or do any of you prefer the environment for newbies at pbb?

This has to be the stupidest thread I've ever read. Really, this chick is probably sitting back laughing while a great majority of you are getting all twisted, one way or another.

I wish this HAD gotten moved to the Lounge- all the anti-cop mouthiness would have garnered at least a few warnings. Geez, no wonder I stay out of the Garage........
