what are they and would they work to SAS my 99 yukon? Theres a rolled ferd stupid duty down the way from me its been there long enough im sure it doesnt belong to an insurance co.

Im sure its a f-250 and has leaf springs. But I do not know what it actually is or spring perch distance or any of that.

Is it worth going to ask the guy if he will sell me the axles?

The front should be a dana 50. = Dana 44 diff, small shafts. Unit bearings, metric bolt pattern. Other than that, go for it. If you're not going huge, it should be OK.

Oh, one more thing...the spring perches on SD axles are wide, and the axles are wider than std fullsize.

Damnit I forgot about the stupid metric 8 lug! what year did they start doing that? wasnt there a few years of super duty with the standard 8 lug pattern?

Maybe it was a passing thought I already have a 79 D44 lined up to purchase. Or i have my 93 f-350's D60.

it depends on what year it is exactly. they went back to D60s are a few years of D50. and like they said 99+ is 8 on 170mm

don't buy it. they are junk I used to have one of those trucks

I wasn't impressed with them just trying to help you out. I think your better off finding one 98 and older

99-01 f250 uses a dana 50, 01 &up f250 and 99 & up f350 use dana 60.The only drawback is the sealed bearing assy. other than that I have had no problems with them as I have a fleet of over 30 of them including my dd.

I'm pretty sure that 99-01, the only sd's that got the d60 are drw f350, and the srw versions also switched in '01.

Yep.

In general it was D50 under SRW F250's and F350's until 02 or so. DRW F350's for sure got the D60.
During this time SOME SRW trucks ordered with just the right combination of packages got a D60 front.
After '02 or '03...can't remember which...they started putting D60's under all of them.

Rear should be a Visteon/Sterling 10.5". Put it in the 14FF/Dana 70 beef category.

Only downside is the goofy lug pattern but there are plenty of wheels out there for it so it's not too big of a downside. Seems like even up here in the ass end of nowhere every other 8 lug wheel set on Craigslist is for the newer Super Duty pattern.
