Stupid front droop and driveshaft angles - what are you doing about it?

I'm running 56" springs in the front short end fwd and my ujoints are binding. What are other people doing about this? I was thinking about milling my zero rates to angle the pinion up but that will kick my draglink down onto my springs. Wish I had a hi-pin axle.

bigger u joints help 1350 or 1410s
could just angle the 0rate to a compromisable angle, Helping the u joint but not hurting the steering too much.
lower the front hangers down some

how many leaves do you have I am doing mine soon

I bought a D60 1350 yoke but they max at 30* and a 1410 will do 37*. Doh.

Uh...I had like 7 leaves or something. Think I'm down to 5 with an overload. The overload makes the pack too thick and the draglink hits the springs on the passenger side, but I don't want to take it out because I like the progressive bump stop action I get from it. Prolly gonna hafta take it out and angle the 0 rates, shorten the shackles. I might try turning the springs around and putting the zero rates to the front so the longer, droopier end of the spring is forward and will hopefully point the diff more up than down when drooping. I really want to keep axle as far fwd as possible.
No way I'm dropping the front hangers. I already hit them on stuff.
I have pretty serious axle wrap in the front too. I put it in 4lo on the trailer chained down and pushed the gs, front axle wraps, pointing pinion down. I still have the clamps on the springs but they are loose since I removed leaves. Might shorten them, maybe just the rear ward one and or add axle wrap bar. These things droop like no tomorrow.

HAD 1410 long travel d-shaft. Then I clearanced the yokes some w/ a die grinder.

1310's have more angle than 1350 joints. 1410 joints have more than either.

What is your current u-joint and lift setup?

as mentioned 1410 yoke, fyi HAD sells a 1480 for your dana 60 which will operate at even more angle

Here is a different option that doesnt cost eleventybillion dollars. 45* 2 piece carrier bearing shaft.:dunno:
It works great for me.

1310 and 56" springs. Short end fwd, zero rate moving axle rearward. Axle is about 1.5" fwd from stock. My 130 axle yoke is busted and I have a 1350 yoke to replace it but that doesn't sound awesome.

Anyone know if an old Eaton axle has the same spline as a 60/14?

Is your pinion rotated up to make that work?

thought about trying the hi flex joints from tom woods? they are more expensive but have the offset trunion to help with angles more. Its cheaper than having to build a new shaft.

or...swap everything to 1410 and run a square tube shaft...

or just strap it so it can't flex past bind...

Thought about the super flex 1410. It's not just droop, it's also wrap. Will just have to fix it all right i guess. Haha!
