How do I know if I have external vs internal hubs? One axle option is an 89 10b MM manual hubs, one is a 78 10b Spicer manual hubs. How do I tell the dfference between the two hub styles?

Stupid hub question

Both of those should be internal hubs. External taper down to the cap and have 6 bolts that hole them on where the internals have the cap the same diameter as the bearing hub and have 6 hex or torx screws holding the cap on.

So if the lockout housing is the same diameter as the hub housing it is a internal setup?

Those labels are backwards, first pic is external hub and second is internal hub.
