Stupid question, 72 K5 Blazer 1/2 or 3/4?

This is probably a stupid question, but I started ordering parts for my K5 frame up resto, I noticed allot of times the parts say one price for K5 Blazer 1/2 ton and another price for K5 Blazer 3/4 ton. Whats the difference, and how do I know which one mine is? On that same note, I have been price shopping each part, and entering in prices in a spreadsheet for the following companies. Does anyone have any other companies to add to the list? When I finish my project I will post the spreadsheet for other members to use to compare prices. Thanks in advance

He's pretty active on the 67-72 Board and seems to sell the "quality" stuff... the website isn't that easy to use, but if you call with specific parts requests he seems to have almost everything.... a lot of the harder to find sheetmetal and reproduction items too.

BTW -> Where did you get that rotisserie? :D Me Likey!! :D

Thanks I will add GMCpauls to the list. I actually bought the truck from one of the members on here. He had listed the truck as "parting out"I called him and asked how much he wanted for the whole shabang! He gave me a price, and I said ill take it. The cool thing was, he had already had the truck apart, the frame had been sandblasted and painted eastco chasis black, and he had all of the replacement sheet metal parts, new rebuilt corvette heads, two motors, and more, and he threw in the rotissiere that he had built! I think I made out like a bandit. So the short answer, was the rotissiere was home built, well kinda, he had downloaded some plans on the internet, and went and cut all of the steel took it to a welding shop and had it professional welded. Its actually really sweet. I think he said the total thing was like 3-400 dollars. I was going to sell it when I was done, but I want to find a 67-69 camaro and fix up first so Ill probably use it for that project then get rid of it.

Springs and axles basically.
3/4 tons will have heavier duty springs and axles.

1/2 ton = 6 lugs per wheel.
3/4 ton = 8 lugs per wheel.

....fortunately CK5 begins where the factory ends. :cool1:
