Stupid Steering Arm

I have recently installed a six inch rough countrylift on my 85 k5.I have tried all kinds of ways to get the steering arm off but havent been able to.Can any one give me some advice, By the way it is not the pitman arm it is the actual steering arm on the axel. It has three nuts holding it.
 
BFH.........There should be some lettering or numbers on the top of the arm, take your big hammer and hit down hard (from the top)on that area. That should make it pop.

i had one a year or so ago. had to cut it off with a hot wrench. that was not pritty. luckly it was getting parted out for the knuckles. so it was cool.
 
wow...i jsut popped 2off tonight...1 raised and 1stock. (3/4 ton swap)

Soak everything in a pentrating lube (wd40 pbblast w.e.) take off the nuts. Then hit it like a B*tch that owes you money! once the conical washer as loose take a pair of chanel locks and pull them out then just work the arm off.
 
Heat cycling sometimes can help it relese. Get it hot then let cool and repeat 5-10 times, the expansion and contraction can sometimes break it loose. Though I like to soak bolts in penetrating lube for the week befeore working on stuff that has not been removed befeore. I just keep a can in the car and give it a spray each night for a few days befeore the project.

What he said. Worked on mine for hours until someone told me about hitting it on the stamped numbers. 3 hits there and it came off.
 
I've taken three off in the past couple weeks -- One I fought for hours, the other came off in about 20 minutes, and the last took a meer 3 blows with the BFH and it busted loose :D

The one that came off in three blows is the one where I heard about hitting it on the numbers, lol
