went wheelin'/christmas tree hunting this last sunday. broke my altenator belt so i was on my way out of the snowmobile park before it got any darker. Was headin' down hill and at the end was a big turn, well, i hit the brakes.... nothing, let off turned the wheel..... nothing, yelled out to the passengers.. "oh ****, hold on" then BAM! nailed the tree head on. All in all the truck is ok, major cosmetic damage, and broke the radiator, the tree went directly inbetween the frame rails. i was able to drive it off the tree and park it so nobody else would hit me on the trail, got it towed home the next night.. here's the pictures of the carnage. Anybody have a radiator for me? haha, seriously though, i need one. 6.2 radiator with tranny cooling lines and oil cooling lines.

looks extremely similar to my truck, well i'm sure it did before the damage. surprised you didn't knock the tree over. :D

yeah, i was going about 15mph when we smacked the tree, and i couldn't even wrap my arms around the tree. Needless to say, the tree was planted perty good, no seat belts on anybody and nobody got hurt too bad, just some bumped heads and i hit me knee on the dang lower dash. i just fixed the truck the night before too, now i get to fix it some more. yay.:haha:

stupid tree...

could of been worse man, glad to hear you all are ok,thats the great thing bout the good ole blazer they are strong enough to survive a tree....you cant say that bout a ford.:D you even drove it off the tree:eek1:

Is it just me, or does something in your steering look not healthy?

The driver's side tire doesn't seem to be at the same angle as the passenger side...

update

well got everything torn down a couple nights ago. After everything was out of the way i was able to see what damage was done to the engine itself. Sooooo the brand new fan clutch i put on 2 weeks ago broke, fan is done, water pump had the pulley mount pushed in so the pulley rubbed on the water pump when the engine was running, ugh.... radiator is obviously toast, drivers side spring mount/ body mount for the radiator support is pretty sketchy, and the front of the main frame rail folded in a little bit.

richheezeewhere were u wheeling at?
we went to Lassen, and we were in the snowmobile park looking for xmas trees.

I think that picture makes it look like an optical illusion, my tie rod is slighty bent (been like that since i bought the truck), but it drives streight as an arrow.
