Stupid winch question

Ok so I wired my solenoid box up and got everything mounted. I figured "O I'll throw my battery charger on the winch spool the line in it!" So I get everything rigged up etc and O crap all the solenoid does is click click click. Then I think to myself, wait I bet its just not getting enough power.

So my question is, the solenoid is clicking rapidly because a winch usually needs all the reserve in the battery right? I'm just not giving it enough juice correct? Kinda like when a car battery is dead and the starter solenoid just rapid clicks.

Most winches are going to pull nearly a 100 amps with no load to winch in and out. Most likely you just haven't got enough power with the charger.
