On the 350 I just put in my blazer had the timing tab spot welded to the timing chain cover, before i installed the motor, i added all the high horsepower chrome accesories /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif, and the chrome iming chain cover i put on did not have it, can i put one on that the local parts store sells in chrome that bolts on with 2 bolts?

yes you can...just measure ur balancer...that will determine the distance from the TC to the balancer...if you go w/ the larger measurment because you don't feel like getting in there w/ a tape and measuring ur self, it will work fine....just a little larger gap from the timing marks on the balancer to the timing tab...i have the tab for the larger balancer on my truck and it doesn't cause me any grief...

I had to read ur post about 10 times to make sense of it! but i think i figured it out!
