wow thanks, I didnt know all that was involved.
So do I need another bottle of sheilding gas PLUS the compressed air for a plasma cutter?
Or is the above pic a different kind of cutter?

in that how thing work link it said the reaction that made the plasma also creates the sheilding gas around the plasma, so I dont think you need it but im not 100% sure.
Plasma cutters like your looking at use plain old compressed air. No shielding gas required.

I have used the old style plasma cutters that use shielding gas , they are nasty , really bad smoke and fumes are produced compared to the comp. air ones I use now
