sub enclosure

alright guys, I have a 01 Crew cab Chev and its time to upgrade a bit. I need subs and I am looking for quality sound. I was thinking possibly 2 10's under the rear seat.

Suggestions? what boxes should i be looking at?

When I had my 00 Sierra 2500 extended cab I built 2 downfire boxes that slid under the seat. They each held 1 10. Having 2 seperate boxes left the center hump open so i had the amp mounted on the center hump between the boxes. I sold it years ago so no pics but it sounded and looked great. I prefer the downfire boxes cause it keeps the subs out of the way of passengers feet.

check out RT boxes They are decent quality but if you get one check it out and make sure it is put together well and sealed well. I have seen them come in messed up. But they are ok. Not sure if JL makes a stealthbox, but you could check that too. JL Audio JL stuff is awesome but expensive.

Think your easiest plan would be to find a pre-made box specifically for that application.

Check mtx, jl audio for preloaded boxes, or someone like qlogic for empty boxes.

for an extended cab all i know is downfire boxes=best (from what ive heard). Id buy a prefab box if i could.

I got a box for my girlfriends Camaro for some 12's and it's pretty nice. Even has the old school script Camaro logo embossed in it.
