suburban 2wd to 4wd conversion

Motor mounts dont want to lign up.

I used frame parts from diesel and mounts from diesel (my 80 gasser uses the same ones), are the shells on the motor different 2 to 4wd???

To stuff my 6.2 in my 85 gasser born burb I had to use 350 rubber mounts in the 6.2 cups. Should be the same 2wheel to 4wheel

You mean the triangle parts?

Yeah I couldn't get mine to fit, I keep seeing people say that they work though

well other than th exhaust, IT'S FINISHED. I am happy with how it turned out, but holy crap what a lot of work.

I know this is a kinda old thread, but if you have pics id def like to see them. I have an 87 3/4 2wd that the trans went out on and if i can get it the 300 miles back home id love to do a 4wd swap to be a tow rig/weekend rig! Just looking on info about the process, thanks

Thanks, I had seen that thread a few days ago but never got to the 4x4 swap part. I have another truck thats about 98% done so I should probably finish that before I think about another project.
It seems like you did the same thing yourself, if so how did it go?

I haven't started yet due to needing to fix up the house. But when I start I'll be posting pictures and everything along the way.

Cool, i bet theres some awesome places out there in AZ to go off road. Good luck with the house and then the build when you get to it. Im sure ill see it on here
