Cusious what you guy have done to readjust the rear brake porportioning valve/linkage after a lift is installed in a sub or K truck. My brakes feel about 75% of what the were prior to the lift install. BTW,The junk bracket with the kit wont do the job for either the line or linkage.

Hmmm...I don't believe there is any way to adjust the proportioning valve on a 'Burban. It's built into the combination valve under the master cylinder (at least it is on my '90 'Burban). Did you put larger tires on with the lift? That can have a profound effect on braking performance as can the lift it self. Being higher up can give the impression of decreased braking performance. Cheers.

It actually has a valve in the rear brake lines like most trucks Ive had. There is linkage comming off the diff pumpkin up to the valve mounted on the frame. With the lift the linkage is it only allowed about 2" of diff drop before the linkage self destructs. Last night I ended up removing the linkage off the splined valve shaft and rigging up a rubber sleeve and giant fender washer which will allow me to adjust the valve with the nut while the tension of the rubber will hold it in place. I put it back where it was prior to the lift and the braking difference is a huge improvement.

I was considering removal but not sure on what to do brake line wise. The feed to the rears runs thru the valve and simply coupling them or installing a bypass line would probably result in weak rear brakes like is was prior to readjusting the valve.
