Suburban chop

Hi, wondering if anyone has ever cut a square body Suburban behind the second row seats and grafted on a regular cab back section with the window? My Suburban is badly rusted in both rear corners, was thinking about making it into a crew cab with a flat bed.

I've never seen it done personally but I guess anything is possible if you've got the chops.

I'm in New Zealand, not a lot of square body vehicles here to play with. I have managed to find a guy willing to sell me the back part of a regular cab truck though.

Havent touched in last couple months, just been cold snowy and miserable. Hoping to start making some meaningful progress as it starts to warm up. I dont have a workshop, so everything is done weather dependent.

Another option (and might be harder there) is to graph a blazer tub section onto the back of the suburban and have a removable top.
