Well, I brought my suburban back home to get it in tip top shape once again and since it will be sitting in the driveway I'd like to get it covered...and if the city spots it and sees the out of date stickers, I could be in a little trouble so during the week when I'm working (and the city folks are working too) it will be covered. And for the record, i spoke to the city fellers one time about it and they told me that they don't go looking on anyone's property for stickers BUT if it was covered they automatically assumed it would be legal. It was a nice hint considering I tend to push it quite a bit and they are genuinely nice people.

So what have you guys been using?

I’d like to know too. I haven’t had anything that lasted through one summer so now I just let the blazer rot on the trailer in the sun.
I have used the 150 dollar one that like beaded water off of it with super soft inside.

Covercraft - their carhartt work truck cover. Thats what Ive got on my k5, I’m sure they make them for suburbans as well. Cover is high quality, and actually goes back bag easily. I can get it on or off in 3 minutes if I take my time. They are a little pricey (i had a $150 LMC premium cover before, that was junk and lasted 1 season before it tore), but way cheaper than getting your truck repainted or clear coat touched up from bird poop. Also keeps pollen off so looks pretty clean each time I pull the cover off to cruise. I keep my soft top in safari mode April - Oct, and no water in interior.

Edit: here it is and they make one for it. I bought mine during black friday sale

Couple quick pics i just took 5min ago:

I just spec's one out for a suburban. 600 bucks. Hmmm I appreciate the review but sure I'm ready to bite that bullet just yet.

Understood, i was hesitant originally (hence buying the LMC cover first). If you were going with carhartt, i would wait until black friday sale.

It also comes down to how nice your truck is. If it has really nice paint and is finished, then its probably worth it. If its a project that needs work, probably not worth it and just get a cheaper cover for time being to be “legal”.

I'll definitely keep it in mind. My biggest hang up is me. I tend to destroy everything I touch somehow lol. If I spend that kind of money I'll tear the heck out of it lol
