Suburban in TX: 35\" BFG, 1-tons, 383/400/208

My good friend is selling his super trick suburban because he decided he has too many cars. The body is in decent shape. It has some minor damage but it still has good white paint. Fenders have been trimmed and have aftermarket black flares on them. Interior is in pretty good shape. A/C kind of works, he had the problem identified as the core being blocked-up. The price to have it fixed including labor was about $200. Everything on this car is brand new. It has less than 1500 miles on it sinec all the machine work and labor has been done. The only thing wrong with the car is that the x-pipe has a couple holes in it which will need to be fixed. The car is driven every other day or so. I was going to buy it and switch everything over to my K5 but my funds fell through. Here's what all it has:

Dana 60 w/warn lockouts, open dif
14FF, limited slip

both have 4.30 gears and 8-lugs

BRAND NEW custom made 383 stroker motor:
4-bolt block
steel crank
heavy duty truck rods
forged flat-top pistons
fully ported heads
edelbrock air-gap intake
holley 600 carb

Everything was fully blueprinted and balanced and professionally built

Exhaust: Long-tube headers and x-pipe

Turbo 400 tranny freshly rebuilt

208 transfer case freshly rebuilt

35" BFG Mud-terrains with about 70% tread left

6" lift, Rancho shocks, dual shocks in front

and more...

ASKING $3500 (has over $7000 invested within last year alone)

located in Austin, TX

It's either an '88 or '89 with a clear title. The only thing keeping it from being emissions legal is the x-pipe. With some minor exhaust work it should be completely inspectable.

Also, I forgot to add it has a roller cam and a brand new aluminum radiator. And, the price he is selling the car for is the exact price he paid to have just the engine built alone. Thought I would throw that out there /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Better check on the year again if it's emission legal. 88 and 89 and TBI years, not carbs.

Some other stuff... It has all MSD stuff: Ignition, distributor, coil, wires.. everything. I talked with him last night and he said the car is an '89. He said that it actually has an h-pipe, not an x-pipe, and that the holes are very minor and that he will have them professionally fixed for the buyer.

As far as emissions go, Except for it having a carb it is completely emissions legal. This has never stopped me from getting a car inspected in the Austin area but I don't know about larger cities.

Remember that this sub is not in nazi Kalifornia /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

No emission testing in Austin yet, just a simple saftey inspection sticker which can easily be obtained on the street /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
