Since I can't post Images or in any other boards, or basically do anything on this site... Check out this... Let me know what you guys think. The more pictures I get from the guy, the less it's seems like it's worth.

(gotta remove the spaces for it to work)

Looks beat to me. Plus its a 1/2 ton.
And LOL about the "woodgrain headliner".

I paid 2250 for my 91 3/4 ton w/ overdrive, stock, 195k with rebuilt motor/trans.

I paid 3k for this 91 less the rims and lift. Zero rust on it and it is a 3/4 4l80e to boot.

Agreed pretty much crap for a starter wheeler. You'd end up with new axles, probably trans, and a motor at some point.

I'd offer $1400 tops, but start with $1200. That's fairly clean for my neck of the woods. It's starting to rust but it's not too bad. The actual structure looks solid still (except for the area by the rear door).

Anyone read the replies from the S10 guys? Some of them made me rember why I stopped going to that site.

Yeah, I think I might pass it up. I've wanted a big 80's Suburban for a while, but the more I look at this one the less I want it.

You gotta take what some of 'em say with a spoonful of salt

Check the "Complete Vehicles" section here on CK5....

You might get a better idea of what a solid 'Burb is going to cost you. Living in the northeast, you're going to have to expect trucks are going to look like that one most of the time....at least if they're driven in the winter. You can obviously get a MUCH cleaner truck if you're willing to travel for it.

I brought my '72 Burb here from CA, but pretty much any of the southwestern vehicles are going to be rust-free and cheap. Maybe not any cheaper than $2000 but you'll be getting a much more solid truck for your money.....fly out, drive it home. Make an adventure out of it.....at least that's what I'd do. Meet a few CK5'ers as you drive across the country.

:deal:

Yeah, living up here everything is a rotted out piece of crap. When I purchased my S15 Pickup, the whole thing consisted of bondo-coverd foam and duct tape. I replaced everything but the frame, drivetrain & cab; although a good portion of the cab is new also. Rust is a neverending battle.

i would recommend spending $25 to post in your local section on here and see if anybody around you know of anything. that way they might be able to help you out if you have to travel a few hours to go get it
