We just picked up a 1999 Chevy Suburban tonight as a backup winter driver for the days it is too slick to drive the Camaro. 175K on the odometer with a strong motor, The paint was baked off on the drivers side (Arizona rig originally). Now I just need to figure out a few little electrical issues and replace worn out leather seats.

Here are a few pics of what it looked like when I bought it.

I noticed the running boards didn't fit right any more. They have some damage and missing screws. So, I pulled them off...

looks good without the boards, btw

It definitely looks better. I am starting to think it will become my next wheeler after my wife is done with it this winter though...

Good luck finding seats in good condition. EVERY one i see is wrecked.

How come my 260k 91 cloth seats look like new, and every 100-200k LEATHER truck seats are wrecked now?

I just need one that is good enough to toss a seat cover on it. The one I have is missing a lot of padding as well as the cover material.

x2 on looking better without the boards.:D They make trucks look like low-riders.

Yup, my 93 with 290k cloth seats look fine. Leather seats need cleaned and leather conditioner applied to last.

My '96 with 175k. I've only had it a few months not sure why the seats are in such good shape.
