So I did some a/c work this summer and the front and rear air worked fine. A couple weeks later I tried the rear a/c again and it blows hot. Front works great. So does that mean my expansion valve went bad? Is there any other possibility?
From my understanding, freon is always moving through the rear evaporator (trickling), but the valve opens when the fan turns on to allow more freon to cool the evaporator. Is this right?

I tried again after work when it was just as hot inside (about 130 degrees) as yesterday and it still worked, although not too well. The front vent temps are WAY cooler. I guess these things don't always "die" I guess it's GOING bad. Maybe partially clogged screen...
