I'm on my third rear axle for my 1988 V10 Suburban, and it's time for a rebuild or replacement. I'm wondering if the axle for a 3/4 ton model will bolt right in and solve my axle turnover problem. I go four wheeling, but nothing crazy. There's no particular reason why these keep blowing on me.

A 3/4 ton axle is a direct swap into your 1/2 ton burb. What exactly do you mean by "turnover problem"?

Just make sure that whatever axle you swap into your burb has the same gear ratio as your front axle or you will break your t-case.

I meant that I keep going through axles. I wasn't referring to a mechanical issue. Thanks.
