Suburban seats not working

The original seats in my 90' blazer have been swapped for a set of suburban seats. Very comfortable but sit real low. How/Is it ok to shim them up a few inches?

I have heard about a bunch of suburban seat swaps but never heard any complaints about them being too low. Did previous owner just screw up the swap - use wrong brackets etc?

Def like the seats but they dont work the way they are....

Tried to search old threads but something not working. I am sure there are other ones on this subject if someone could point me to them.
