if you have any sub specific info, post it up here so we can compile a database for sub specific builds.
- links to radical sub build threads
- sub specs and general info
- tips and tricks for suburban modification
- write ups on sub specific material
- have you done a lot of work or something out of the ordinary to your suburban? post it up!
- pics of height/tire/spring/bodywork
etc...

lets try to keep the chat down to a minimum, this thread is for information. treat it as a research paper.
lets see it guys!

I need to get pics of mine, I have had to modify everything on this 68 burb.

One of my main ones was I wanted to run the 3/4 ton rear I already had without cutting and moving the perches So I used a 2nd gen flip and a pickup front hanger form a 73-91 to space the springs to match the axle. plus between them it added enough lift so I don't need to run any sort of blocks.

I'll update this reply with the pics so it's not a total waste.

This is my super clean 88 burban. Has a 350 TBI, TH400, 10B front and 14BSF rear. Not sure on gears, hoping they are 4.10 by some chance.

Plans for it:
CUCV 1 ton rears for it with a locked 14B and D60 front. that just might get welded. 4.56 gears.
Bunch of parts from ORD and DIY.
36" Hummer tires for now.

That will be my start.

umm... ok

i didnt mean for it to be a 'post a pic of your sub and give us the specs' thread.... we've got 2 pic threads for that.

maybe i wasnt clear enough...

it was supposed to be for RADICAL suburban mods. such as 55willy's 68 which has to be totally rebuilt with newer suspension and running gear. or chop top jobs, tubbing for huge tires on minimal lift, fully caged, dovetailed, body off resto, etc... out of the ordinary stuff. i wouldnt call any suburban on an 'off the shelf' suspension kit and a set of 35s radical by any means.

I took six pictures for some stupid reason, so here is the last one.

And that build thread O'Mine gets a little bit off topic near the end.

Now that is what I wanted to do to my van.
Now seing it here, I still want to do it to my van sometime.:D
Let's see it when it's done.
My plan was to have the full body in front of the tires so no wheel well to worry about in the body work.
