Suburbans can fly!

Had a blast! There is another video in my build thread, I drove over some cars also! Pretty cool video!

Shoot pretty soon you can race Ktmoutfront. He has a couple videos of what looks like a similar track from a while back.

Good thing your tires aren't any stickier. You might have gone topside around that last corner. :thumb:

nice jump, but have you seen the Nitro Circus suburban jumps?

Looks like its time for some good shocks. That thing sure is bouncy

Who would have thought Superlift 8" springs could be that flexable.

its sitting level in the driveway right now!

Shocks and bumpstops comming soon, the u bolts hit the frame on that jump!

Sweet air!

What shocks and bumpstops are you going with? Can you post up some links? I've got an 8" Superlift on my Blazer and need to upgrade soon as well...

I have no idea yet. The fronts were/are ProComp ES3000s. As far as bump stops, I dont know yet. But Im doing next years tuff truck and going bigger! So, air bumps are most likely what I need. Shoot, might be linked with coilovers by then. I did take out the bottom spring in the pack, Im sure that is why they are so soft. I already have some 3/8 tabs I got from Kert at Diy4x a while ago. We be putting those on this week. I pressure washed the burb for 3 hrs. yesterday and I have about an hr. or so left to do!

Bypasses and bump stops are a necessity if you do that very often. Makes every day driving better also. You can jump a leaf spring truck all day if it is built right. Just maybe not as strong/dependable as links and coilovers over the long run. Just remember that bypass tuning takes a bunch of time. And running on a short course like that without the shocks getting warm, will require different tuning compared to running the shocks warm. Mine are lot stiffer until they warm up. They work well after about 15 minutes of working them over a rough road.

Just my 2cents. But what do I really know?
