Stupid POS.

Upon acceleration truck makes this giant sucking noise, dies for a second, then comes right back and drives fine. Does it on maybe 1 in 4 times I accelerate. Drives fine once it gets going. Stock 305. Going to work on it Friday. Ideas???

Mine did that on my 86 k5 w/ a 305. The gasket between the carb and the intake was cracked and was sucking air. I got a new gasket and went ahead and rebuilt the carb. Cleared that problem right up. Also check for other vacume leaks.
