Suggestions on rebuilding np208, special tools etc...

I did a search but didn't come up with what I am looking for. There are TONS of posts on np208's

Anyway, are there any special tools I will need? Any step by step instructions you would recommend? Any manuals out there that aren't an arm and a leg? What about rebuild kits, there are so many on the market.

No special tools needed. Just a set of large snap ring pliers with flat surfaces instead of round. Maybe a set of race/seal drivers, but a hammer and punch will work just fine.

Not much to it, just pay attention to the order you take it apart.

For rebuilding NP208 you'll need the 289-34.

A lot of patience. Watch out when you are taking it apart, so you don't lose all the needle bearings. You'll want some Trans-Gel or similar grease to hold them in place for reassembly.
