I just found out that I will be working for Marathon Oil this summer in Cody, Wyoming and was curious if any of you guys were from the area. I was contemplating driving the blazer out there if I could have some fun with it.

This summer as in the summer of 2010? there are a couple guys from
Powell, about 45 min away. Check out powellvalley4wheelers.com I don't live down there, I'm about an hour and a half away, which is close for us. But they let me come play with them sometimes. It would be worth the trip if you are going to be out here for a couple months. Hope this helps.

Get ahold of MNorby on here. He lives in Powell and is the pres. of Powell Valley 4 Wheelers

Wow. Small world. I do live in Cody, and I know several people in the Powell Valley 4 Wheelers Club. Good bunch!

Definitely bring the Blazer. There's lots of great trails here!

yeah we have 120 acres of land that the Powell 4x4 club owns to wheel on. www.powellvalley4wheelers.com to see various pics. Definately bring the k5. Powell is about 20 miles from Cody.

Hey, by summer 2010 Ill have a rig together :)

well I am hoping by this december but summer gives me that much leeway

so any updates on your summer fun in Wyoming? I did get a rig together :)

Well I ended up driving out and picked up a 2001 Yukon because I had my doubts as to whether the Jimmy would make it - not to mention 28 hours without ac, cruise control, or any noise control might have driven me crazy. So needless to say the Jimmy is back home resting in the garage. I'm not totally opposed to picking up a cheap rig out here and towing it back, though, if anybody knows of any in rough yet halfway rust free shape. I have seen about 600 of them parked and driving around out here that are in incredible shape compared to those back in WV.

yeah it is really easy to find a rust free chevy here around powell. im from there gut living in gillette about 3.5 hours away.
i been tossing around the idea of sellin my 88 jimmy its really clean except a lil rust on the tailgate. i have 2000 into it and would let it go for that. it has a new 350 and 05 crewcab seats. let me know if your interested.

if your around next weekend come over to Powell to the High Desert 100 race and rock crawl and hang out.

That wouldn't be a bad trip from here.... hmmmm, Powell, Wyoming.
