Got to the wrecking yard again to pick over what was left of a 1990 K5. I noticed it had good visors in it, so was going to buy them, but $25 each is too much in my book.

Anyway, I realized they weren't original based on the sticker on the driver's one. Obviously from a carbed rig. At first I thought the sticker had the date of its printing or origin on it, but that seems oddly specific. I assume even if it is the actual date, if it was created in 1971, they could have used the same instructions for a long time... I assume the previous generation visors were different in most every respect? For some reason these seemed like they were longer than the ones I have that are 80s vintage. But I couldn't compare side by side.

I have several good sets and charge $20/pair. But then you would have to ship them or drive up here and shipping is on the order of $21 in a large flat rate game box.

That label was printed, or at least had the design created, in November of 1971 based on the date code at the bottom.

I may take you up on that if I'm back up that way! I thought I had some around from years back, but don't see them now.

Without a side-by-side it’s tough to be exact, but the mounting hardware and dimensions are usually the giveaways. Sounds like someone swapped them in at some point rather than them being factory for that K5
