Hey all, had a quick question for those with super duty shocks. Im currently discussing a lift kit with one of the vendors on here and its coming out to around a 5in lift instead of the 4in i was looking at. (6in springs up front, with the weight of the diesel, around 5in total, with 4in springs out back, and a zero rate to center the rear axle in the wheel well, 5in total.)

do yall think that extra inch is gonna make a difference in running those shocks? i wouldnt think so, but wanted to check.

I don't mean to hijack, but can you use the SD shocks at all 4 corners?
These are SD rears right?

HD shocks will be fine for 5". Yes really. No you don't need a ton of modifying and Of course I've done it.

Ohh no I am sorry I don't have pics it's literally that easy. ;)

beautiful, thanks mountain man :)

kp- do a quick search, there was a thread that covered this. Id have to go find it, and will eventually before i go buy the parts, but its from a particular year super duty. shocks all go in normal locations, just on a K5 instead of a stupid duty. fronts up front, rears in the rear.

their are so many different shocks that will work but I'm glad I used these. I love the ride now.

Ohh and always always always TEsT FIT before you cut/modify/anything. and make sure that on your vehicle you didn't have a minor oddball with parts. Just because it works on my suburban and someone elses K5 doesn't mean 100% it's gonna work on yours. Parts constantly change in minor ways on design. good hunting
