Dr. Watson, can you give me a ball park price on a pair of custom length (2 1/2" shorter than OE) D70HD axle shafts? Also an approximate lead time as well. These just need to be the "basic" material shafts as I am dealing with custom length not breakage issues.

We have a couple of options, neither of which is quick. Superior can roll the splines on a set for $415, and it'll take 2-3 weeks, or we can have a set with cut splines for $305 but the timing is really up in the air because the shop's out of the big flanged blanks. Both are the 1541H alloy which is still pretty good stuff.
