It's not an addiction until I admit it...

Anyone have the part numbers for the correct ends? They are not the regular draglink ends.

This is the 4" draglink.

#3040-1 is the replacement end.

I have already found its cheaper just to buy the whole thing instead of replacement ends. Someone posted a link to National Tire & Wheel (I think) and the whole thing was like $120 or so.

I made a thread about these ends, too, some time back. You may as well just buy the whole drag link instead.

Come on, at least lie to me. I don't want to spend that much money.:(

I can't believe this! Is the rod ends made out of oil? Oh well, I guess I'll save for crossover.

Become a dealer on the side and you will be able to get the stuff even cheaper from the aftermarket manufacturers. Sell the stuff here for a fraction of their costs.

I am pretty close to find a cheap alternative that is available at most part stores. I just have to pick the other part up tomorrow and take a few pics. If it works, it will cost $50 for OEM parts.

I have on my table, an end I got from Car Quest that fits the drag link threads and has the same angle pitch to fit the steering arm and pitman arm holes.
Problem is, the stud seems to be a little long. When its seated tight in the steering arm hole, the castle nut bottoms out at full tightening and theres still a small space before it sits on the steering arm. In other words, to make it work, you'd have to put washers under the castle nut.
But on the pitman arm end, the castle nut sits tight on the arm, with no space. Its just the steering arm that has the problem.

Question is: would you run washers under the castle nut and still be safe?

And no, I don't have the Car Quest number for the end. I'd have to go back and check their books. It does have a number stamping on it of 122-9. Don't know if that helps but its a start.

UPDATE!!!!

ES2234R will fit into the draglink ends, both ends are right hand thread. Those ends also fit into pitman and steering arm properly. I don't think they will flex enough for an offroad vehicle, but mine is a street queen.
