I'm curious who here is running Superlift front springs. I put new 4" HD springs in the front of my 85 K20 a while back and I notice the front end doesn't sit level. On my LH side I have 9 5/8" of clearance from the top of the tire to the top of the fender lip, but on my RH side there is only 9" of clearance. Now the back of the truck sits level, both sides are 9 3/8" of clearance (stock springs & 3" blocks. This truck was a frame up rebuild, everything is ether new or rebuilt.

When sitting in the cab you can definitely notice the difference on flat ground, it drives me nuts. This is my second Superlift springs, my first was the same thing except I had an 85 K10 with 2.5" lift and the difference between the LH & RH was 3/4".

I'd like to know what experience others have had with the Superlift springs and also how does the competition compare with being level in the front end.

go cut off a plate or old spring the thickness and add it to the bottom of the pack on the low side and be done .

this is if everything is square and leval .

did you check axle tube to bottom of frame hight ?

as body mounts and busings and body shims can tweek the clearence a bit over true frame to axle hights.

Move all your tools and gear to the LH side and have someone else measure while you sit in it?

I'm running 6" HD superlift front springs and while my drivers side sags also mine is because of a bad body bushing on that side.

How are the tire heights relative to one another (same pressure?). Put a straight edge against the sidewalls and measure to the center of the hub using a level.

My body mount bushings are all brand new from GM and the truck has no body lift. The tire pressure is the same all way around and my tires are brand new 315/75/16.

I also have a Fisher Minute Mount plow mount on the truck as well. I did measure the ground clearance between the mount and ground and the mount is sitting lower on the RH side. I'm gonna have to do like SweetK30 suggested.

Have you contacted Superlift about warranty?

I actually haven't, but have thought about it. The springs were purchased over two years ago but never used til last summer.

I have a junked 89 K5 out back with longer front spring shackles, they're 1/2" longer than the ones on my 85 K20, I think I'll swap out the one side and go from there.I placed a jack under the RH front cab mount and raised the bad side up til it was even on both sides, I ended up with 9 1/2" of clearance between the top of the tire to the fender lip. I really don't want to remove the spring itself, just don't have any time to do anything and this truck has taken enough of my time as is.

The old 85 K10 that I had the 2.5" Superlift kit on sat level at first, after one season of plowing snow the RH side had settled 3/4". I guess they didn't like stacking snow all that well.

like i told you before

new center pin / new ubolts ( not to be reused item [ as me how i know the bad time i had ] )

and cut down leaf the thickness you need and add it to the pack.

my k30 plow truck i had to do this to. used ? ? ? name springs 4" lift and the 1 side sagged 1/2"

been workin for years now like that with spacer.

Well I finally got around to adding a spacer to the spring pack to level up the truck a week ago. First thing I tried after this was done was try hooking on to the plow, it attached to the plow mount with ease first try. Before it was at least a 10 minute ordeal, one side would pin on but the other side just wouldn't line up without a lot of fighting with it.

Now that it's over, the old truck is back sitting by the garage. Maybe it's time to sell it to someone who will use it.
