it was on today at noon-30...anyway,they're building a mid-80's chevy long box."project-mud stud)plans are an 8in.lift with 40in. tires.peaked my interest.then while they were installing the lift i noticed something i had to laugh at...10b/6 lug axels.oh yeah!powered by a 425hp/450tq 383!how long will that last?

hmm, well its not the axels of choice but maybe they are justifying it for weight or clearence?

are they building them up?

i agree, if they are only going to blow through mud holes, 10 bolts are fine, still not what i would choose, but as long as they leave the axles as open diffs, they shouldnt have any problem. my 10 bolts held up just fine in the mud around here for years untill i got into rocks, they poped the first weekend.
