Princess auto here in canada has this superwinch on sale for $777.77. Reg $1049. Is this a good winch for a K5 or should I shell out the extra cash for a warn of the simliar rating. I was originaly planning on getting the Warn M12 since a good winch should be able to pull double the weight of your rig, which will cost me $1800 bucks up here. This is the only place Ive seen a winch come on sale like this and I was wondering if I should take advantage of it or will I be wasting my money? They also have the Superwinch EPi 12.5 for $1600 reg price which i will Most likely wait to buy when it comes on sale. What winch is better. The Superwinch Eps 12.5 or the Warn M12. Is that extra 200 bucks for the warn worth it?

princess superwinch :haha: :haha: :haha: got to admit thats funny

I don't know much about superwinch but I wasn't exactly thrilled with my warn M 12000 so I would say if its a good deal go for the superwinch.... a 9000 lb rating should be plenty to horse a k5 out

How about maybe a Ramsey... I'm thinking about this one myself. If speed is not a factor (it isn't for me) this may be an option. Check the price on this one in your area... they are usually pretty reasonable vs the faster winches of that capacity. I really only care about the strength of the winch, not so much on the speed. Speed is nice, but being a FF I think I would preffer a little more "control" of the winch that a slower winch offers.

Whats the difference between the patriot 9500 and the REP 9500E winches.
I'm not much of a winch expert, I only just started looking around at whats out there.. but I would imagine that the patriot is faster. As for any other upgraded features, I don't know. You could look them up on the ramsey website and see what they say. I know I have seen about a 300-400 price difference of the 2 though.

princess auto, while having the goofyest name in the industry, are actually a really good farm / machine supply store in canada. pretty much everything in there is warrented for life.
