this is actually about my 58 chevy 3600 but the under body and frame all have light surface rust. what product would you guys suggest for coating the rust to stop it. i just want to buy some time until i do a full frame off on her. i have been looking at products like Rust Bullet and POR-15 but i dont want something that will be hell to get off later. I have a blast machine that shoots a alum. oxide mix along with soda. So if that can take it off then great but if i have to grind this stuff away ill just hit it with some black spary paint

Por15 and Rust bullet shouldnt need any special treatment to be removed. Just stay away from bedliners like some people opt for and you'll be fine.
I never got that bedliner thing anyway. It dries like a sheet of plastic so if it starts rusting it hides it... I've seen it happen inside my cab. Eh to each his own.

As long as it doesn't use water too, I'd say that alum mix would be great.
Then spray on epoxy primer, and finish to your delight.
POR-15 is good stuff but costly,and dont get any on your hootus!
SEM makes stuff called "Rust-Mort" (the rust mortician!) that turns the rust into a black primer type coating..body shop supply stores sell it and some auto parts places too..another one I have used with good results is Permatex/Duro "Extend",it comes in liquid and spray,the liquid works best IMO--goes on looking like milky latex,then turns clear after drying and turns the rust a bluish black color..both of these can be painted over for more protection..
Dont be like me and wait too long ,I made that mistake on every vehicle I've had ,and in 5 years they are ready for the crusher..in MA,vehicles rot so fast you cannot believe it..my 82 K2500 GMC is already almost "yard truck only" status,when I got it in '03 it was solid as a rock..
