Hey im kinda new to the k5 and offroad world. i got a 77 GMC jimmy that was abused by a punk teenager for a couple years, so its got some issues. I was lookin under the truck the other day and noticed its missing a sway bar bushing on the drivers side at the axle, and it rides like crap. So im looking to get a full new set of bushings and shocks. Any suggestions???

Disconnect it completely and drive it. See how you like it, and you will probably end up keeping it that way. Most of us don't run one here :)

i didnt know if wanted to do that because the truck has bad body roll at the moment and my buddy said it would increase that.

Shocks,bushings.....and you might want to check and make sure the u-bolts are tight on all 4 leaf springs

u bolts are good. gonna try it with the bar off. any suggestions on a new shock? it had the ranchos that came with the lift when i bought it. Thanks for any past and future help

Lol not gabriels for a start. I beat mine in about 4 months.

Spring for good shocks from the start. I'd say bilsteins.
