Hey anybody out there,
I'm wondering what a good suspension lift kit I should get.
I've got a 1987 k5,I put 35 bfg muds on it,and I was told that the 3"body lift wont be enough.Id like either a 4 or 6"kit.
Thanks

I don't know what type of wheeling you do but I would think the 3" body lift would be plenty.

I hear a lot about the ORD rear shackle flip. Add 4" of lift and keep your factory springs for towing. I have no idea about the front stuff.

BDS and Tuff Country make the best lift springs on the market.

If I were you, I would ditch the body lift and either go with a 4 or 6" suspension lift. The 6" lift will cost you more because you will need to buy new springs for the rear and lengthen the driveshafts.

Either size lift will fit 35's but you will need to trim the fenders more with the 4" kit.

First tell us what you plan to do with it... are you going to wheel it or are you going to Daily Drive it... what kind of wheeling do you do rocks or mud and what is your mechanical ability.

Best all around-

4" shackle flip (rear)

4" tuff country or bds springs (front)

good set of shocks/ steering correction....
