From the 4WP ORA rag/power wagon thread:
"...it says the power wagon has 32" of travel..."
Wouldn't that be class 1 buggy or trophy truck specs...

Hm. Is this a way to sum up suspension capability?
Just add up suspension travel at all four corners?

I don't think the number has a lot of real-world meaning, but just for fun, here goes nothing:

Front travel 8.25", rear travel 5.75".

That's using the forklift and measured at the shock mounts, 3" springs front/2.5"flip + 2" springs rear, ORD traction bar, no shocks, no bumpstops.
Of course, the stock shock mounts put the shocks at an angle, which should be accounted for. Best guess without actually measuring is that the shocks are at 60° vs. horizontal or so, so to get the vertical component the numbers above need multiplied by the sine of 60° (=0.866).
That yields front 7.14" and rear 4.98", for a total of 24.24".

The fact that the wheel mounting surface is further out would mean that actual travel at WMS would be more, and my lowered front bumpstops to keep the front springs from going excessively to negative arch under compression are counteracting anyways... time for some more measurements...

But for now, my number is 24 and I'm sticking to it.:D
