I have 35's on a 14 bolt, I have hit the yoke every time I have done real wheeling. Blazer Bash 18 I think it was I got high centered on the yoke.
Sounds like it might be time for a high-pinion portal axle.....

No I'm genuinely curious if you could do a 10" lift with a 4 link. You missed where he posted about dropping it down some.
ORD sells monster truck brackets for this reason. No I'm genuinely curious if you could do a 10" lift with a 4 link.
How much clearance do you need for "mild overlanding"?82355 - don't think 33s will give me the diff clearance i'm looking for especially with the 14bolt
mrk5- waiting on a callback from ORD
I think the most common lift I've seen with overlanders is 2", so good point. For group events it's nice when people aim for similar capability as the group, but people make almost anything work. So I think the adventures can tend to match the vehicle instead of the other way around. How much clearance do you need for "mild overlanding"?

I think 13-bolt is a typo, but maybe it's your subconscious telling you to shave the 14-bolt for clearance?Martin, I would like to stay over 10 inches of ground clearance. I'm considering a 13 bolt..
I've decided run 37's and around 7'' of lift - placed an order with ORD for their front 4 link/ coil overs with a sway bar kit.
I see many rigs performing well with less , so this should keep me out of trouble & having fun with my kids for multiple day remote outings .

7" is tall, but height should be adjustable with that kit. Maybe target 7 as the top? Despite popular belief, going taller doesn't save the fenders (much) when you have real suspension travel. The tires still have to go somewhere under stuff. It sounds like you're doing a really good build. Strongly consider either cutting or finding a bodywork guy to open them up and look stock (search here for examples).
